Submissions
Submissions for Issue 1 are now open. The deadline for submissions is April 30th.
The theme of Issue 1 is Solitude.
Aduantas is a feeling of unease, anxiety or fear brought on by unfamiliar surroundings or unknown people; it is the sense of being alone or out of one’s comfort zone. We want work that represents this feeling of aduantas or loneliness.
Aduantas Literary Magazine welcomes poetry and short fiction submissions from writers based in Ireland and the United Kingdom. We strongly encourage work from new and emerging writers, as well as members of minority groups or underrepresented communities.
Submission Guidelines
Poetry Submissions: A maximum of 50 lines per poem (no more than FIVE poems per submission).
Fiction Submissions: A maximum of 1000 words per submission (ONE piece per submission).
Please send all submissions to aduantasmag@gmail.com with your name and submission category in the subject line.
All work must be original and previously unpublished. We do not accept simultaneous submissions.
We do not accept submissions that have been AI generated or AI assisted.
Please title submissions with your name and submission category e.g. JaneDoe_Poetry.
All text should be in 12pt font and double-spaced. The use of Times New Roman or Garamond is recommended. All submissions must be in .doc or .docx format. If submitting poetry, please ensure that all poems are compiled within a single document.
Aduantas aims to respond to all submissions within three months of the closing date.
